This is a successful test of one of our turbines, 3D printed in PLA plastic. Note that the noise level only reaches 92dB, as opposed to the normal noise level for a turbine, 100-140dB. This quiet is by design, not by accident. By using our proprietary flow control surfaces, we not only made it quieter, but more efficient as well. Also, please notice that most of the noise was created not by the turbine itself, but by the air nozzle powering it. Finally, notice that the plastic turbine, with off-the-shelf ball bearings, reached 5600 RPMs. We immediately took the turbine apart after the test, and found no destruction or deformation to any part of the turbine. That’s because our flow control surfaces are engineered to combat the destructive forces working on the turbine. The StewardTech Turbine is designed for quiet durability and efficiency.
