What are your business goals for 2026?

My business goals for 2026 focus on bringing our portable wind turbines to market. We have already acquired a heavy-duty sewing machine and electrical equipment for the initial toy generator and portable wind turbines. In March 2026, I plan to purchase a 3D printer to construct prototypes and to build models for vehicular engine prototypes. I will also invest in essential raw materials such as filament, sailcloth, fasteners, and framing materials during this period. Once we create our first major prototypes—the generator toy, portable wind turbine, and gazebo wind turbine—I aim to market them via crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo and leverage social media for advertising. Profits from this phase will fund the next stage.

By the second quarter of 2026, I plan to complete my foundry for casting the engine prototype. In the third quarter of 2026, I will focus on creating an engine prototype. To facilitate this, I intend to invest in a desktop PC capable of running OpenFOAM Computational Fluid Dynamics software for optimizing our turbine design and performance. Additionally, I will acquire an engineering workstation and a SolidWorks CAD license to streamline our design and optimization processes through Finite Element Analysis. My objective is to produce multiple commercially viable wind turbines and successfully commercialize them by the end of 2026. If we secure SolidWorks by September, I also plan to develop a vehicle engine prototype within the same year.

How would you use grant money to help your business?

The grant money will be allocated initially to purchase a 3D printer and the necessary raw materials to develop a prototype wind turbine. This printer will also help create toy generator turbines that can be blown into to power an LED, providing a fun and educational showcase of our turbine technology. Following this, we will use the printer to construct a gazebo that incorporates a wind turbine for recharging electronics. These prototypes will be promoted on crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to generate interest and will be presented to potential consumers, particularly targeting outdoorsmen for the portable wind turbines and children and hobbyists for the toy versions.

To support the commercialization of our portable wind turbine line, we plan to sell our products to sporting goods stores and explore licensing agreements with manufacturers. Additionally, the 3D printer will be crucial for creating a prototype turbine designed for vehicular engine applications.

Alongside the printer, I intend to invest in a desktop computer equipped with OpenFOAM, enhancing our ability to optimize turbine designs through Computational Fluid Dynamics. We will also acquire an engineering workstation to improve our CAD and Finite Element Analysis capabilities. To that end, we will need to purchase a copy of SolidWorks. These strategic investments are vital for accelerating our commercialization efforts within the transportation market.
